JTAG Falcon JTAG Failed RROD 1033

Just got a FALCON from someone who tried to JTAG the console. Also got the CD with the original NAND.

1. Tried to start - got RROD 1033
2. Removed all the wirings and wrote back the original NAND - console starts OK but there is no "circling" ROL at startup. When I try to syncronize the controller, ROL is circling and the controller led stays lit. I'm on my way to the shop to buy 2 diodes(I'm not sure what kind of diodes he was using when tried the JTAG, but there is no code on them and they appear to be smaller).

My questions are:
1. Should I try to use another method for JTAG'ing?(the method he used is with 2 diodes, one on DB1F1 and the other on RF module).

2. Why isn't ROL working at startup? Tried with another RF module, still the same.

Thanx

R2N23 looks suspect - is that a bridge?

There's no soldering at all around RP212 so guessing they used the RoL board as I can't see any solder on the RoL socket either.

Do you have another RoL board to test it with?

R2N23 - just checked, it'n not bridged
Yes, he used te second pin on ROL for the second diode. Yes, already tested with 2 other ROL boards and still the same

...something more strange, if I start the console from the eject button, ROL is working. If I start her from the power button...no ROL...

So definitely something in the RoL circuit. What happens if you turn on from a controller?
I got the controller led on the ROL...

...I don't understand anything anymore, so:

Tried to JTAG again, hooked up the diodes, bridged pins 4 and 7 on J2D2 and got E79.
Rewrote the original NAND back but with the diodes and 4-7 bridge in place...guess what? The console boots on the stock dash(7371) and also, ROL is working...

HDMI consoles will still boot with diodes etc in place.

Try creating a JTAG image but use AUD_CLAMP. Remove the RoL solder point and solder to the AUD_CLAMP instead. See if this boots to XeLLouS.

Martin...still no go with AUD_CLAMP too, E79

I guess, I'll leave the diodes in place, since they are making ROL working and give the console an RGH

...none :))...went to dinner, came back...said to give it another try...booted to xell(Free60 to be more specific), but, with some error, see the pic attached

update: nevermind, wrote the image, console boots, and after I wrote the image the console boots to xell.

However...I don't know what happened with the console till I booted to xell, a pretty stubborn one :)

Thanx for the help Martin, have a nice evening !
