RGH falcon nand errors

hy ppl

i have a problem whith a falcon nand. i try to put coolrunner rev b, but when i read nand i recive error:
2 non matchings blocks found

i can't go on next step to create ecc file.

any ideeas????

You might want to check you solidering are you using wire to point or are you using a QSB also can you post some pics so me an other people can assist you further

what are you using to read the nand? Parallel cables can be a pain if that what you are using. Aside from that, do as the above post suggests and check your soldering as that can cause issues too.

i use nand x direct soldering but, it is not first console, just this have this error

How many times have you tried to dump?

Well, the only thing I can suggest then is to double check your soldering. A bad solder joint can cause issues.

I do have to ask a silly question though. Did you by any chance boot the system in between reads?

It sounds like he dumped twice and expected it to be error free.

It should be error free. If not then there is obviously something wrong and that would be why he's posting the question.....

Wow, I totally misunderstood what the question was. My appoligize to everyone. I thought you was having issues while comparing the dumps for some reason.

Take two dumps and compare them. As long as they match you should be good.

They're bad blocks. Keep dumping or remap them then compared. Why use jtag any how? Just use Multi-builder or nandpro.

had the same problem using jtag Martin C pointed out to me as long as they match you are good to go. I will quote Martin and takeand take no credit for this "jtag tools sometimes states non matching blocks even if the errors are the same on both dumps" As stated before use nand pro or multibuilder . If you use Multibuilder and check the log it will auto remap bad blocks. You should get a good ecc image from multibuilder.Then you will be good to go. I know jtagtool is good but it does have a few flaws.
