JTAG Falcon No HDMI

Hi guys,
Just having a small problem.. ive jtagged a falcon using the Quick solder boards.. all went well no problems besides that i dont get any hdmi signal... it worked before jtagging... ive had a look around and i just wanted to confirm if i just use the alternative points... Tray_open and AUD_Clamp it would fix this issue???

You could try AUD_CLAMP yes but have you tried resetting the console's settings? Also note that if it's Xellous you are having trouble with, be sure to use a HDMI-compatible version (Xell Reloaded may work but I can't guarantee this).

What dash was it on prior to getting it jtagged?

i used coolshrimps tool and when selecting freeboot i made sure it had (hdmi) there...
and the previous version was 2.0.7357.0 or 2.0.7371.0 not too sure...

I'm assuming you can boot the console fine using the AV cable? If so, can you have a look at the display options?

yer its fine with the AV cables.. i actually thought the xbox was wrecked until i put the AV cables in haha.

also when i use hdmi i cant sync a controller and only the power led is green... (if this helps) on the rol

Solder the AUD_CLAMP wiring in place then, see what that does. I recall having a similar issue before and I fixed it using alternative wiring.

so just the aud_clamp or in conjunction with the tray_open???

I think TRAY_OPEN is tempermental because it causes random ejects of the drive. I'd just solder AUD_CLAMP for now. Oh and be sure to create an AUD_CLAMP FreeBOOT image, there's an option in JTag Tool to change the SMC options.

Again what dash was on it when you dumped the nand ? if it was 2.0.7357.0 then flash the nand back then remove the Jtag wires and update it to 2.0.7371.0.
Freeboot is based on stock 7371 so its recommended you update your system to that version for better compatibility.
But that's up to you or just go messing about with doing alternative points and see does that work.

I have 2 falcon jtags one I just recently jtagged with aud_clamp and dvd tray method with 2 switching diodes both work perfect the last was on dash 69xx I did the 7371 update dumped the nand 2 times compared dumps then updated freeboot to 13599 as said both work perfect using alt smc aud_clamp + dvd tray if needed I can post pics of the install I used but you shouldn't have any problem finding it

Might sound silly but I've seen this problem before.

It was fixed by booting the console with the av cable then swapping over to hdmivone the console had booted.

ok ill give the update a go... and see if that makes any difference between everyones suggestions should be able to get it to work.

so its all working now.... i just cut the yellow wire and then did the aud_clamp method... redid xell and bam all good works a treat now in full 1080p
