Falcon not booting into xell

I've been working on this all weekend and I finally got my NAND dumped, programed the coolrunner, and flashed the ECC. Now when I boot up the Xbox it doesn't boot XELL. The red LED is on and the green LED blinks about every 10 seconds. I'm guessing my problem is the ECC.

If this is the problem, then if I flash back my original nand and rewrite the ECC do I want to use the +w command or the -w command in nandpro? Also, is there a specific program I should use to make the ECC? I have tried Coolshrimps tool, the 360 multibuild tool, and bestpigs tool. I've been too lazy to do the python way, but I am willing to try it.

And because everyone is so convinced its my wiring here are some pictures, sorry about the quality, they were taken from my iphone. The blue wire might look like its not in there good, but trust me its in there good.

mocalacace, try this and its +w i did this for someone else and it glitched in 5 seconds. Use 360multibuilder 0.2 to create the ecc then jtag tool to write the ecc. Alot been having problems with multi builder 03 thats why i say use 0.2 and you can find it on their official site. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks

Post pics of your install. Clear pics of your solder points. I can say that Jtag tool works perfectly for falcons as I've done three today alone! You can also use Jtag tool to Flash your Coolrunner. That is if your useing the NandX to program your coolrunner.

Ok I'll try it with 0.2 its too late to do it tonight, so I'll do it in the morning.

Also I compared all the ECC files against each other, and none of them were the same, so something is going wrong.

Its definitely not the solder points because previously the green LED wasn't flashing, then I resoldered the green wire (the one closest to the X-Clamps), and the green LED is flashing. And I'm pretty sure its not the programming of the coolrunner, because I checked it against itself multiple times and reflashed it multiple times and compared the read file of it against the orig jed. Also the ECC I flashed was from Coolshrimps JTAG tool.

And just to be clear, my NAND is currently flashed with Coolshrimps created ECC and the rest is the original NAND. So when I create a new ECC should I flash back the original NAND over the old ECC, then flash the new ECC. Or can I just flash the new ECC over the old one? And I will be using the +w16 command, correct?

Ok I just flashed it with the ECC made by the Multibuilder tool 0.2 and its still not booting up, I used the +w16 command too. any suggestions?

Does the green light on the CR flash every 5 sec or so?, it should keep doing this as it try's to glich and use the eject to start Xell, worth a try

Yeah, its like its trying to boot into XeLL but it can't. I think its the NAND and I've tried reflashing it like 5 times.

I first flashed it back to stock, then tried a +w write with the ECC and it never works :mad2: and I even make sure to leave the power unplugged for 30 seconds after the write.

If you want to put original NAND back on the console, you need to use -w argument. The +w works for modified NAND images and xell ecc.

Have you tried moving the wire routing around while trying to boot xell?

Thats what I've been doing, writing the original back with -w and writing the ECC with +w. I also read somewhere that programming the coolrunner with the opus jed might also work on a falcon thats not booting?

This is so frustrating, I've reprogrammed my coolrunner with the Opus jed and that didn't work. I programmed it back to the Falcon jed and it still didn't work. I've also rewritten the ECC image (made with different programs) to my NAND multiple times and it still never boots XeLL. On the coolrunner the red LED is constantly red and when I turn on the my Xbox the green LED flashed every 5 seconds-so its not the wiring, and I have the switch turned to Phat and the other one on NOR. I've also moved the wires around on the bottom of the motherboard around and that hasn't seemed to work. I'm about 90% sure its the ECC, would anyone here mind making one for me if I uploaded my NAND?

Check your wiring on the bottom of the board. Make sure the wires are not in the area of any coils that are on the top of the board.

For me changing the green wire from the outside of the board to near the xclamp made the difference between glitching or not glitching (try pulling it away from the motherboard).

The hack is very sensitive to interference.

if the green light is not flashing ervery five seconds then the wiring or soldering is the problem. and even if its flashing green dont rule out ur soldering just double check them and try again.

I have moved it closer to the xclamps, and that hasn't worked, and its kind of hard to pull it away from the motherboard when the motherboard is sitting on the ground.

Thanks dude, but it says file is temporarily unavailable, I'll try again later.

if the green light is not flashing wiring or soldering is the problem.
The green light is flashing
