Falcon Power Off Issue

Evening,

Just posting to say I installed the Coolrunner on my Falcon console today, besides having an issue with the GND connection stopping the glitching from happening the glitch works very quickly its just like turning a none RGH console on!

Anyway, I have now put Freeboot onto the RGH console, had to manually create the Freeboot image in JTAG Tool as it kept saying that the CPU key was wrong even though I pulled it straight from the web interface in Xell.

Its working great except one thing, when i turn the console off, it acts as it it is turning off the screen goes blank, but the fans and power light stay on until i press power button again and then it turns off properly.

Any ideas?

How long did you leave it running before you manually turned it off cuz I'm pretty sure it supposEd to do that so it gets the hot air out instead of just leaving the air just sit in there. But my retail falcons and jasper does that

My retail jasper does the same. I think its natural if the internal temp is a specific number before shutting down so that the air is replaced.

It definitely isn't waiting for the system to cool down as the light is staying solid green usually it flashes green when you are powering it down.

I'll try disabling the background downloads and see if that makes any difference though.

I'm pretty sure the downloads are your problem. My xbox used to do that too. It's actually a neat feature =)

Another quick question, thought id do it in here rather than a new topic.

I have a Zephyr JTAG which is unbanned, never been on Xbox Live, my Falcon is banned. Is it not possible these days to swap the KV over into the original NAND and reflash that and turn off the Coolrunner so the console is back to none RGH state and take the console online? I seem to remember reading that MS added a hash check in on the non xenon motherboards or something?

KV swapping on a stock nand wouldn't work, you'd get Xmas lights. And you are correct, everything after Xenon performs hash checks on the nand. Happy modding!
