I have spent hours trying to get xell to boot, Wiring is correct, using coolrunner rev c.
Tried all the different caps and resitor combos. Zero luck

Saw recently the new timing file martin c released.
Booted xell in 10mins (sometimes 20 mins)

Not using any caps atm with the new timing file.

My question is how can I get better boot times.
I have tried kynar, standard blue wire with caps.
all configs on the coolrunner
Tried over the fan shroud.

Boot times still around 5-10 mins :frown:

Have managed to get all but one Falcon on RGH2 to boot under a minute. It really is a case of trial and error checking each configuration and timing file numerous times. The 3.3k with the 470pf combo does seem to work well though.

Try 3.3k Ohm resistor with 680pf cap on CPU_RST line with slim CPU_RST cable. Timing file Falcon (Old one Falcon RGH2). Let us know how it goes. I get 3- sec-1min boots with this.

DONT GIVE UP! everyone with same issues i also had exact same problem with falcon but i solved it like this: First make sure you start from scratch in JR programmer. Make sure to write original bin back to falcon. Make sure youve selected RGH 2.0 in JR (sounds trivial but its not). Then follow steps exactly, create Ecc, write ecc, Then build image if you have key, if not make sure you follow next steps. USE THE BLUE CABLE from the slim pack in coolrunner, get rid of phat white coaxial, didnt work for me. Now it just comes down to cpu rst cleaner, i needed one and mine boots under a minute at 3.3k and 560p. Yours may not , play with all the settings on 3.3k then flip other 3 switches while booting many times, you will get it. And XSV file? FALCON is all i used , i tried all A,B,C,D although i had luck on a, and b with blue wire, falcon boots fastest. I hope this helps someone else. My cb was 5774, 15774 dash originally. As of 2014 EVERYTHING IS GLITCHABLE at rgh2.0 for final confirmation unless you do not have a hana chip on your phat. But yes R-Jtag is the best (is also faster) but if you already spent $20 on a coolrunner, use it, it will work.
