Falcon unit w/benq drive stucked on status code w/13599 update

Hi dudes have a strange problem here,need your help with this one.

My friends modded xbox falcon unit with benq drive with 9199 or 7371 dash board wasnt able to check the exact dashboard version. Units manufacturing date is jan 08 2008 by the way.

From what i know that 1st falcon units came with benq drive so its unlikely its not the originsl drive. My friend wanted me to update the dash to 13599 and lt.2.0 for benq so he could play xgd3 burned games.

I've done a lot of modded jasper w/lite on drives that has 12635 or 9199 dash or lower.first I simply update their unit thru usb flashdrive with 13599 update w/o restoring it to stock then flash it with lt2.0 w/o any problems also.

But this time before i opened his unit,i inserted a usb flashdrive with 13599 update,to my suprise it got stucked on status code. And i tried to reload the 13599 update on my flashdrive but still no luck still stucked on status code. I tried 13146 & 13604 but still stucked on status code.

Can it be because the unit has been modded before or was it a spoofed or not the original drive?

Any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance guys!

Try restoring back to stock fw, if that dont work its not the original drive. And also the newest fw for a benq is either 0401 lt3.0 or 0442 lt3.0 and not lt2.0, that may be your problem

Ok but i havent flashed the drive yet. Was just trying to update his dash to 13599 before ill flash it but it got stucked immediately on status code.

Il try to restore the benq drive to stock & try the update again.

If that still fails,any idea how i would know what kind of drive was in it originally?

Or any other ideas how to fix it?

When you dump the FW in Jungleflasher below the DVD key it will say "Spoofed As: original drive".

Ok will try it. For example that its spoofed as hitachi,do i have to get a hitachi drive and install the drivekey then try to update it again?

Or if its spoofed as hitachi can i just spoof it as benq? So it'll continue the update?

whatever the osig on nand of xbox is (the drive model that came in the xbox) has to have the same model drive as osig to complete the update,so if osig is sh*tachi,u need sh*tachi.
