Fan transistors

I know that the fan header on the xbox can only handle a very limited current being drawn otherwise they blow. So my question is can something be done to improve this? like replacing the transistors with higher rated ones? The reason Im asking is that I have done the 70mm internal fan mod and would like to be able to have this fan controlled the same as the exhaust fans by hooking it up to the fan header.

you mean u want them both running off the same power source? if so what motherboard?

in this post i have taken a hi res pic of a simple 1 wire 12v fan mod that takes the power away from the header

I would like to do this to both of my jtags, a xenon and a falcon. I would like to be able to control the 70mm fan speed aswell in fsd. I have currently done the 12v mod for the 70mm fan but i dont really want to install a switch for speed control.
