faulty nand x

Can someone confirm , My nand x has died on me :frown:
Last night when reading nand suddenly all went up the wall. My nand x stopped reading . Then both lights went out on nandx . Has anyone encounted this problem. Now it doesn't even power up tried 3 mini usb cables, also plugged into my laptop still no response. I was wondering is this a rouge unit that has slipped through the net, and has anyone encounted this problem. I have already ordered a new one and will send the faulty one back to those wonderful people at ck3 . Doesn't hurt to have more than when it's replaced does it?:rolleyes2:

How were your wires connected to the board? QSB's, direct or headers?

direct headers had no problems in the past doing it this way . I may not have posted much here but i have done about 20 jtag/rgh units in the past.

I got what you meant mate, just wondering if you used the yellow(ground) as I've seen that not using it as a possible cause of frying the NAND-X.

yes i know no ground no nand lol its a pain the ground wire is the one i check the most after soldering but it looks like another two days wait until new nand x comes to daddy lol

Did you program any coolrunners with your nand x?

Sorry for the delay . The coolrunner was programed then when I went to read nand something must have shorted I have no front usb ports on base unit working . Only on rear of board. As I have I stated at the begining of my thread I was pondering on rouge units that are floating around . Its seems I am the unlucky one to have one something shorted out here and has upset me but I dont blame team x it's an old expression i use sh*t happens

may seem obvious but did you try and reset the NAND-x with the onboard button.

My first nand x did the same thing. Ordered a second and it worked with no problems. i was lucky and able to rma the first one so now I have 2.

did you turn the power on to the console with the nand x hooked up
