I just installed a 2.6CE Lite chip and discovered that I have a bad switch.
The switch that controls the chip on/ off has to be wiggled to get it to make contact. Once I get it to enable the chip it boots fine so I know it has nothing to do with the install.
Question is... does anyone know of a way to bridge the solder contacts under the switch (remove the sticky tape to expose) to make the chip always on?
I have already contacted the chip dealer and they will send out a replacement, but it will take up to a week to get and cost me an addition 15-20 dollars for shipping. Since the person this is intended for will not be using the box online, there is no reason he would need to turn the chip off. So if I could just hard wire it to be on no matter the switch position would be fine.
