F'd up cool runner pads (noob)

so yea, i completely destroyed the pads on the cool runners tck and tdi terminals.

Is there any trace lines I can solder to instead?

You would need a high level of skill to solder to the traces, I would give it to somebody else to take a look at or order a new CoolRunner.

And if you can't solder to the monster sized pads on the CR, i wouldn't dare touch your xbox.

well if we already bricked it its worth at least trying to solder to the traces..had a crashcourse in soldering and I have the basics down now, i know i shouldve practiced on some other pcb's but o well

is there any pics or diagrams showing the tracelines

Seriously, stop. If you can't solder to the COLOSSAL pads on the CoolRunner, there's no hope.

Get someone to do it for you.

i would order a new coolrunner and ask some of the peeps on here to fit it for you.

lol i know. my brother had a crack at it before i could teach him anything. is it salvageable in any way like soldering to trace lines?

if it was mine, i would bin it and start fresh.
but in your case i would bin it and get an installer to fit it.

Yes is salvageable, but only by someone who can solder.

I can't understand what happened to the pins? You could have just soldered the wires to them.

Either way, I think you're done with this and if you're having this much of a problem with the coolrunner, don't even think about the console itself.

To be honest at only $20 I would save the time and effort and order a new one. Use the one you have and practice your soldering.

Go to the other side (left in pic) and practice soldering wires to the big pads that are supposed to be soldered to in the first place.
