If you can do this sort of damage with a soldering iron, I hate to see what you can do with a flaming torch ...

I recommend paying somebody to program and install the coolrunner for you. If your struggling to solder to the Jtag pads (Could of soldered to the end of the pins without removing them) you are going to end up destroying your Xbox when attempting to solder the STBY_CLK.

Also what iron are you using as there seems to be alot of heat damage

Does your brother know he's getting the blame for all this?

Do me a favour and solder some wires to the LEFT pads - the ones which aren't touched. Better still, there's a small via in the left corner just to the right of the Coolrunner logo - solder a wire to that and take a pic. If you stuggle with that then soldering to your console is a big no-no.

There isnt a guide out as its a new product and it hasnt had a chance to see soldering like that yet.

Those pins were not supposed to be removed as you were supposed to buy the adapter cable to plug right into them.

Again cut you losses and spend the $20 and buy a new one.

Give this one to your "Brother" and have him practice soldering wire to the pads on the left. Use Flux as it is your friend.

It's not so much a test - it's more "if you find it hard to do what I asked, you WON'T be able to fix it yourself".

It looks like thats what they started out with, judging by the pic

OP. on a serious note, if you are going to try repair this, then buy a new xbox now. because it will end up getting screwed beyond repair

Please please please dont do any more . In fact , pay the postage both ways , send me your chip and your console and i`ll do the f**king thing free of charge for you if it will stop you trying right now mate , you CANNOT do this hack for sure !

you might try to clean it off i bit and look to see if you can fine them yourself or look on the back side dont have mine yet so i have never seen the back side don't know whats there or you could try to contact the person in Ohio that offered help the fiberglass pen may work or help find a trace but i would have to say after the first try i would not let someone else near it that has not at least done this before
