We've all got to start somewhere,admittedly not on a delicate piece like the Cool Runner so give the guy a break.
I think you could remove everything and clean that up and you might be good to go but just have someone with soldering experience to take over from here, Hey but you did have the Cool Runner set ready for programing:biggrin:

There is obviously no practice ever been done here, this must be his first soldering experience (Hence the creation of a Brother)
I just feel sad for the Coolrunner which others would have put to good use to and kept cosmetically clean, I remember seeing the preview images some time back and thinking wow, to see it in that state makes me feel a little sad.
Careless and rushed, you should be banned from purchasing any form of modding equipment and kept away from all electrical appliances, which includes light switches.
