Can a "mount xci" option ever be implemented? I notice that when I have no GC in the slot and select an XCI, it acts as if the GC slot has a cart in it. But when I go to select another XCI or insert a cart, it takes a while, if not a reboot, to get the game to be active.

I think adding a "Mount/Unmount" option would make sense.

Not sure which version you have but 2.3 beta you can push x at home screen to "Close software" before loading something else. Option only shows after game has been started.

First, mounting/unmounting a device/image is not the same as closing software.

That being said, I havnt messed with it, as I have been working more on the linux side of things, and trying to fix some of the issues I am having in my build. I do think there should be a way to release the GC handle so the actual game card slot will work, as I am thinking the xci is handled like a device emulation(Daemon Tools, etc) excepting for the switch to accept it, it needs to be redirected to the handle used by the system for the GC, so if you try to use both of them, it causes issues. A force unmount and release of handle option would be good. That being said, I havnt played with the CFW side of things much.

Exactly this. After you close the XCI, the system still thinks the cart is in the slot. As shown by the filled in cart icon next to the title (mounted, vs. the dotted outline, meaning un-mounted). Selecting another XCI causes a hiccup I'm noticing. Kind of like the system doesn't know what to do because it is acting like it has 2 cart slots, and doesn't know what one is supposed to be the "active" cart.
