I have few questions concerning the flashprocedure of hitachi using Maximus Gyropia 2.3r2

Everything went fine. b-mode was alright.. so i booted into my XP

there's still this original NFS carbon in it, and i thought doesn't matter really... so drive is recognized in XP and all good to go

i type flash23s H 6660

next it started dumping, detecting *(47), patching etcetc. i thought "good" everything works fine..

right after it had created the hacked firmware, it start flashing sector 1/9 but then my XP just froze up like that >_> this guy whom i modded his 360 was looking at it as if the 360 was toast.. but i've seen that the original firmware is backedup so i dont have worries.

i guess this was the disc being in the drive that caused my XP to freeze up.. so i restart the whole procedure without the original 360 game this time..

so firstly i used restore H ... it all worked good although even when restoring i read multiple errors while flashing (the one in the pic)

so after that i make this flash command again flash23s H 6666 this time it worked very well, but again i'm seeing all these errors???? look:

anyway after the flash being completed, i powered off 360 and AGAIN my PC froze >_>

i tell this guy : your 360 should be ok now, but i've seen some error messages that are very disturbing.

now my question: why the hell am i getting all this errormessages?? and why the hell does my PC freeze up all the time its REALLY annoying?

The drive however worked very well, even after seeing quite a few errormessages. Howcome this drive is operating perfect after a bunch of errormessages while flashing??

1/9 fails on many occasions. It is a test flash. It tries to flash one section of the firmware that isn't being used at all. If it fails there or locks up , no harm. It is a good safety feature built-in to make sure that the program can flash your drive at all, before actually trying to flash the important sectors. If this fails, it retries that "test sector". It will only continue once it has successfully flashed that first test sector.

What you are seeing is that the drive just wasn't ready, the test sector didn't work the first time, so the program retried this and it worked the second time. It just doesn't show you very well. Don't worry about it, it's normal. Sometimes it shows that 1/9 fails on me, sometimes it doesn't. But it never really fails, if it did it wouldn't have even continued.
