LITEON 83850 v1 Fifa 12 Dash Update- No Dvd Drive Key

Hi All,

I updated the dashboard from the FIFA 12 Disc yesterday and it flashed my firmware back to stock. My drive was preflashed to the LT+. I hookep up my drive with my PC and its with JF 0.1.87 its giving me the error DVD Key not found.

I have looked through all the tutorials and the issue is that the new update apparently encrypted the key and its not possible to get that anymore. also I do not have the equipment to use the probe method that is mentioned in all of the tutorials.

Since i got it flashed initially from a third party I do not have any of the files( i now wish I had asked for these). The only tools that I currently have are just my xbox and a sata cable with connection. Can someone please advise me if there is a way to get back my dvd drive key after the update.

You need a probe to extract your key buddy. Being that its back to stock u need someone to extract your key and reflash the drive. I've seen bundles for less than a hundred bucks which is more than worth it. Save your key next time!

You probably need to get it re-flashed. If the drive was returned to stock, it will still have the key. You can test this by putting and original disc in and seeing if it boots. The Jungle Flasher "Key not found" is just reporting its not in the JF database. It doesnt sound like you have the equipment to sort this yourself mate.

You will need to buy CK3 & Probe 3 & x360usb Pro (recommended)... In a budget solution, you can try to modify xbox power cable (spare cable will be useful... modify it for connecting to PC PSU. Black is GND, Yellow is 12v, Red is 5v, Orange is 3.3v... Readed budget solution tutorial somewhere, but can't remember where), but, yes, it's not recommended and buying product you will get best support from community...

Get tools to extract key or get them from your modder, or bring it to someone, who can extract your key.

Thanks Guys for the quick responses. Guess i need to bug someone with the equipment to extract the key now. Btw given that I get that done i.e. have the key next time, how will I use that to flash the drive myself.

Also if someone could list the files that are a must in order to flash such as the drive key, dummy.bin etc I will have those handy next time a similar situation comes up. Thanks again

Just having the key wont do it. Acquire the necessary equipment first and all the necessary tutorials are here on the forum.

probe 3 a must is a must have
x360 usb pro makes life easyer.but sata might work 4 you.

basically if someone does it for you basically you only need your dummy bin off them, but has dgenx has just rightfully pointed out you still need certain products in order to use your dummy bin for any future updates/flashes
