LITEON 0225 Final Questions before i start flashing today

Hi guys,


my ck3i and unlocked replacement pcb just arrived.
I only took the xbox slim apart but didnt do anything else to it. The hardware nor the software are altered. Now i want to start replacing the pcb and flash the drive.

1. Should I update to the latest dashboard before doing anything? I currently run that xd3g dashboard 13599.

2. Is there a guide on how to exactly replace the pcb?
Hardware not software guide..

3. What is the difference between "Orig-0225.bin" or "Orig-0225u.bin"?

4. As i understood it I always have to revert to stock firmware before an Dashboard update. Stock firmware is the original dvd drive xbox firmware (unaltered). That is done to avoid a ban. Then after the dashboard update I have to relash iXtreme to the dvd drive. Never ever update dashboard without reverting to stock firmware.
The stock firmware is in my case the "Orig-0225.bin" or "Orig-0225u.bin" right?

5. Before I take off the original pcb i need to backup the Dummy.bin according to ubergeeks guide, now is there more that i can backup before i take off the pcb? key.db or something i read once...

6. Are the key files stored on the pcb or the drive itself?

7. When done, can i play non XD3G games? I wont play XD3G until the dvd recorder firmware drops.

You Don't Need To Update If Running On 13599 Dash.Are You Able To Access Xbox Live ? If Yes You Don't Need To Update !

Sure You can update before-hand. It won't flash if it's a 0225 but even if it's a 9504 it won't matter because your swapping the pcb and can still get the keys even if it's locked

sh*t i think my molex just died!!
But i got my dummy.bin and key.bin.
now what do i do

follow the guide viper gave you in step two. flashing tx pcb then replacing it with the one in your drive. load dummy.bin as source and 0225 lt2.0 as target and your done

i know, i was just finished saved my dummy.bin and wanted to take the dvd apart but before that my molex supply fried, now i dont know how to power the drive to be able to flash the lt 2.0

i cannot use the xbox to power it i read, but once i was advised to use the xbox to power it so it would open the tray of the dvd drive, i did that back then..

U Can use Your PC For Power Your Drive If You Have CK3(Think U Have). Connect CK3 With Your PC's SMPS !
