firmware 5.1 open tray fix doesnt work!

Hi. i tried a backup i made with clone cd,it burned succesfully.then i tried it on the xbox 360.first it boot it succesfully and during game i get the error "this disc is unreadable" and sometimes the game freezez during play.Later when i tried to play the same game again,when i put it the game it start to read but then stops and says "open tray".i dont understand whats happening.does anyone have any clue?

What media are you using? The fact that it read it the first time and froze indicates to me that you are using sh*tty media or potential a bad media and burner combo. Have you made any progress on this?

hi.i have the same problem.even if i use the rubberband trick its doesnt work either.but when i tried the game on another console with the same toshiba samsung drive the all the games included the backups boot flawlessly and works very good.very weird :roll: maybe some hardware problems or the laser?

Does your drive have issues with everythign? Movies, originals, etc...? It may be a laser issue, espically if you did the rubberband mod properly to no avail.

Caster is spot on it would help alot in these situations if peeps named errors on screen type of media used and burner including f/w as it would give a better picture of the situation.

the problem is only with the backups.i dont think its the firmware causing this.maybe as caster said the laser is out of date,i dont know. :?

Well like you have said if originals/dvd's etc are fine and it's only backups not working then using the powers of deduction I would steer towards it being your media/burner

have you stated your burner/media forgive me lol i have not checked

i dont think its the media/burner because backups works fine on another console with the same drive :? not even the rubberband helps :? i think its the laser.but this is only with certain backups.not every backups.

im having the same problem. my game freezes on the loading screen in ridge racer 6 when im playing an original game disc. all my backups doesnt seem to load anymore.

i changed my laser and it worked actually.i think its a laser issue.
