Firmware flashing details

Hi there,
After so much "googleing" I'm here to ask someone to point me in the right direction. I'm going to buy a Xbox 360 Slim 4GB and I would like to know what I need to burn my backups. I would also like to know the dangers (The only thing I found is the updates) and also, if any of you would point me to a step-by-step tutorial on how to do it, I would appreciate it! (Google pointed me to a bunch of tutorials, but the ones that I found are either out of date or incomplete).
By the way, is this the best option? I also checked the RGH forums, but I have absolutely no experience soldering...

It is a lot of information to digest and for me even after weeks of reading there are many gaps left to fill.

Keep searching and reading and you will eventually form a clear picture of it all.

You could do what I did and buy a used JTAG or RGH. Once you have one the learning becomes much more relaxed.

if you want to play backup games from a dual layer dvd, first of you need to open the xbox to see what drive and model there are in it..

if you instead fint it easyer to and cheaper to use the internal / eksternal usb harddrive you'll have to look at rghing.. if your soldering skills aint good send it to a pro to do it
