Quick question,

I have a 9504 drive.

When I flash the drive with LT+ 1.91 firmware, the drive will then become 0272?

When drive is now 0272 with LT+ firmware, will it allow me to do future firmware upgrades? (as it has a modded firmware?)

Thanks for your help.

The firmware has nothing to do with allowing to do future updates as far as the the slims go. Unfortunately after dashboard update 13599 your 9504(now 0272) will be SPI locked meaning not be able to write to it. There are hacks depending on which chip your drive has.

Winbond=kamikaze hack

Mxic= Sputnik hack

I have 2 drive.. ones 0225 and other is a 9504

I will update the dash using the 0225 drive then once updated, I will stick in the 9504 drive.

My question is when I put the modded LT+ firmware on the 9504 drive wouldn't that turn the drive in to 0272?

if it does, would it be locked?

Thanks

Yes it would be turned to a 0272. It will not be locked if you did it the way you mentioned. I am not a 100% but I have heard that if your drive that is supposed to be locked is not locked you will get banned.

I have done quite a few of these new slim drives especially Winbond chips. Today for the first time I got a Liteon 9504 straight out the box brand new. Ran one disc on it to test, did the update via USB to 13146. This flashed the rom to 0272. Made my marks got out the dremmel, but when I clicked "INTRO" in jungle flasher I switched it off and on and got the message found with status 0x72 and the SPi status 0x00. BAM spi not locked???? It's the first time I've seen this, but could mean that not all spi's are locked after flashing to 0272

Dash board update 13146 does flash the 9504 drive to 0272, but does not lock the drive.
Dash 13599 locks the drive.

Dash 13599 locks the drive.
If I skip to 13599 update, for example, update the console from pre 13599 to 13604, will that get locked?
