GENERAL Firmware help!

Ok, i need some help! I'm kinda a newbiii at this...

but i bought a Xbox slim 250Gb from some dude who
just updated the Xbox to some new firmware...

my question is!!! what is so great about this stuff and can i play ordinary games that i buy in the store on it???

(may be some stupid questions... sry)

and could i undo the firmware if i want to???

Custom firmware allows you to play your backed up games. This allows you to store your originals and play the backed up disk to avoid ruining the original, saving you money in the long run.

Great for someone like me who has dogs that sometimes like using my Black Ops or Need for speed shift as chew toys.

Just remember you must own the original games. It also serves as a fun hobby for those who like to play with there electronics.

Other then that if your not into that sort of thing, you can just continue to use your 360 as you normally would.

You always run the risk of being banned with iXtreme flashed. The safest way is to stay on stock and use your originals.

Hopfully the console is not flagged from the previous seller. There is a way to check but i'm not sure how. I'm sure google can help in that department though.

If it's not flagged there won't be anything wrong with playing your originals on live. Another thing to consider is that the last dash update by M$ flashed each console back to stock. So if they make a habit out of that then then next dash update your console will be back to stock anyway.

no it's not banned by the previous owner
So i'll hope i don't get banned! i got the Ixtreme LT 2.0... so i'll just make a user on Xbox live and give it a try unless some of you guys don't think it's a good idea?
