Hi

Have FAT console with 120Gb hard drive. Use LT 2.0 on Lite On with 14719 dash.

Burnt iso of original xbox game (Star Wars Battlefield 2) but get message that original game not suported etc, might be an update available etc etc.

Do you know what sort of "update2 they are referring to?

I understood that these games would play with FAT console etc.

Many thanks

Hi

Not sure. Bought the xbox from someone on the iextreme site so may not be the original. Is there any way to download the emulator etc?

Thanks

Hi

I don't use Live and am a bit confused by the status of this "update". The link in the official xbox site in the compatibility section just takes you to the latest dash 16.... whatever it is. Should there not be a specific compatibility update that I can download to memory stick and then instal to my hdd?

Thanks again.

I think the xbox is looking for the update for xbox1 games, but you can still update your dash to latest use usb and still use lt 2.0, just clear cache on hdd after update and your console will still boot games without topology

Sorry I know I'm being dumb but don't quite understand the response. Are you saying that installing the latest dash will cure the compatibility issue? I'm on 14719 which is pretty recent anyway.

Also not sure how to clear cache to avoid problem of games needing universal topology.

Thanks for your help.

If it's a genuine HDD then Partition 2 should be already there and populated.

I think you're going to need to connect the HDD to your PC using a USB transfer cable and checking the contents in Party Buffalo USB Drive Explorer.

Hi

Update

Just downloaded and installed update which worked, Tried game again (Star Wars Battlefront 2) and now get different error message! "This original xbox game has encountered a problem, for more info..." It also shows X5829.0 and B 1884.0. Don't know if that helps but very despondent now. The HD is 120Gb and is an "original" as it came with my elite.

Would hooking the hd to pc with data transfer cable help me resolve this?

9.5 year-old son would be very grateful for any advice.

Many thanks

Hi again

Just read on another forum that you can't play original xbox games on 360 with modded fw, even with the compatibility update.

That can't be right, can it?

Thanks

Hi

Brother has original but getting it back tomorrow so will try then. Are you saying that it is impossible to play back ups of xbox 1 games?

Thanks
