I saw many posts about this 3.3v led problem, someone must have find a solution?

pin 15 gives me 3.3v when i power up my xbox so i should have the 3.3v led working when i plug the x3.

any help would be really appreciated!

look and see if all the pinheader pins are level before u connect the chip as the pins maybe not making good contact with the X3

Thats what i am looking at right now...

I tested the back of the chip (side with the big white X) with a volt meter and it read 0.015v where pin 15 is. Is it normal?

If i remove the chip, it read 3.3v directly on the pin.

What can cause the 3.3v blue led to not show up, even if i have 3.3v on pins 9 and 15?

if you 3.3v on the pin and not on the chip. the pin cant be seating into the chip right. are the pins low and not in the chip far enough?

I agree you probably have pins and different heights on your pinheader because you pushed them up or down.

Thanks for your help guys, l have look at the pins, they all have the same height, now i realized that the 3.3v led is on when i push the chip to the right, i have to hold it there with my hand, as soon as i release it, the light goes off.

I think there is a problem with the connector on the modchip. A bad solder joint or something....

Any advice??

Otherwise i will probably send the chip back for a new one....

i would bring that pin up as far as you can so it is almost flush with the backside of the motherboard.
