All going well, I shall be attempting to RGH a Jasper tonight.

I've booted it up without the hdd and found its a 16mb NAND on dash 13146. I've done 4 RGH installs into Falcons... so any tips on Jaspers?

You should be fine on a 16MB Jasper, however, you may need to add the cap in order to get the console to glitch but I would try it without first and see how you get on.

Oh, and remember to keep the wires away from the coils, this seems to affect Jaspers a lot.

Yeah go for it mate. There's no difference. If it's slow to glitch just cap it and you should be good to go :)

or if you have a coolrunner rev-b then you don't need the cap !

No hot glue here. I use electrical tape instead.

Easier to move wires. :) For CPU_RST I see some people take the wire across the top of the board. Is this better for Jaspers?

Glad to hear you're not another hot-glue addict!

I have better success running it topside. I'd even try RG174 (50Ohm thin coax) if you have problems. I made a post on a stubborn Jasper I had, so there are some suggestions in there.

I'll try taking it across the top then and stay close to the heatsinks to avoid the coils.

Cheers for all the tips. :) This one is for my g/f since she's addicted to mine and wants her own now!

And its working!

Had a problem with a bad solder joint on STBY_CLK alt point. Fixed that and the console boots in 2 glitches without the cap. :)

EDIT: Spoke to soon. Put it back together fully and the STBY_CLK wire must've gotten caught under something since one section of it is now flat and the console doesn't glitch (no green light on CR). Think i'll replace that in the morning.

Just an update.

Replaced the STBY_CLK wire. Console boots from instantly to 4 glitches without the cap. Other half is happy with that so I put the console back together and she's now playing gears 3. :)

Thanks for the tips all!

I had a lot of problems glitching my 1st Jasper, the issue I think was with the placement of the green wire, so I ran it under the x-clamps, and it started glitching instantly.
Also had another Jasper that I need to Bridge the Cap pads to get to glitch.

Hope this help you out.

Honestly i'm probably going to leave it as-is..

It boots in 30 secs or less every time and its rock solid while playing games. My g/f is happy with it and its her console. :)
