So I got the chip "soldered".....FRAG. Long power press and the MSdash greets me. Apparently the D0 is correct. Tried "lightly" scraping errant flux to clean and identify proper connections, heated the pins to settle the solder and still FRAG. The multimeter shows 4 or 5 pins connected somehow, but the magnifying glass shows clean connections on the bottom of the board. Is there a possiblity that the pins could somehow be connected under the header on the topside of the board. I can't find my solder sucker so its off to radio shack in the morning.
BTW i'm thinking about using the wire harness to install to check for proper connections from both sides of the board. Can anyone suggest to not do that? there seems like there's less pins on the wire install than the header. If i chose to redo the header install, could i remove those seeming useless pins to help reduce confusion/soldering difficulties? I see that pin(s) sticking out from the empty port hole and i have to solder it!!
OFF FORUM TOPIC BUT STILL HELPFUL TO ME.
Seems like avalanch is the way to go. Are there some aspects to Evox that make it worth having on the box after i get the x3 install staightened out?
Thanks for your time.
