Hi,
I tried to flash my X3 chip from the CD. Everything looked good first, the progression bar went yellow, and then green, but then the came the text "programming failed".
And now i get only black screen, even the backup bios won't work.
Here are the steps how i managed to destroy my chip:
step 1: I loaded flashbios from bank 5 (version was 3.0.0).
step 2: I selected "flash from cd" option.
step 3: I inserted an cd including bios.bin (X3 3294 v16plus) and dummy.bin.
step 4: I swithed bank to bank 1234
step 5: I closed the dvd drive
-> flashing started. Progress bar went first yellow and then green. Then text "programming failed" appeared. eject light was blinking green and orange.
step 6: I tried to restart my xbox but all i get is a blank screen and eject light goes red, i tried all the banks and even the backup bios won't work.
So what now? Is it dead? Can it be reanimated? I really should have started to plant those flowers instead. ..and btw, my xbox version is 1.6b.
