RGH First slim RGH success! Second won't boot/coolrunner issue

Guys im on my second slim RGH. I installed the CR and QSB. Everything went good, dumped the nands, they matched so I made an ecc file and flashed it. Well the CR had power but didn't blink green?! Instead the Xbox rf/power button was blinking green and the CR just had a solid red (power) light the whole time. I quadruple checked my soldering, I checked the CR settings even reflashed that twice, so I took everything apart (except the QSB) and reflashed the stock NAND and now I have error E79!? Do you guys have an idea? I searched E79 and it seems to be a hdd issue which is odd to me.

Thanks!

So I have 2 problems:

1. Coolrunner wont boot Xell, just a solid red light (doesn't glitch green)
2. E79 upon setting the console back to stock (I'm almost positive the E79 was because I used +w16 instead of -w16. I'm at work so I'll have to double check this when I get off.)

It's from your soldering, you probably have a cross bridge some where or damage something. If stock nand isn't working then something is wrong or damaged

It will still boot the stock nand as long as the coolrunner is properly fitted and programmed. The glitch allows you to boot non signed code but will also allow you to boot signed code. So no need to disable the coolrunner if you don't want to.

Guys, thank you so much for the answers! This is going to help trouble shooting a lot!

I'll re-solder everything again I know the blue wire is ok, and I'll keep the CR programmed (I disconnected it) and plugged in.

I think I did do a +w instead of -w. So i'll have to redo that, good catch splatem! Let me look at this again and i'll update the thread. Thanks again guys!

I have a question while I'm sitting here at work not able to try these fixes. Can the STBY_CLK (qsb area) cause it not to boot Xell if I accidentally soldered/shorted the R3B15 area? Those 2 pads are really close. I can't think of another area that gives me issues.

Now that I have some time THIS is exactly what I'm dealing with. As you can see from my above post he asks the same question...so I'm going to remove the qsb and try again. I have a feeling its the orange (R3B15 area) wire that is bridged.

UPDATE: The +w is what caused my E79 so I could boot back to the stock dash with my NAND image. Will unsolder the qsb and try to get the CR to glitch

So I was able to take the quick solder board off and that did it! Flashed on the first glitch!
