Ok, so first of all some information on what I have.
I know my drive has been flashed as I paid for a flashing service previously.
I have BenQ drive (checked tray and White wire)
I can play ap25 games so guess I'm on LT+1.1?
I'm on dashboard 2.0.12625.0
I don't have a xbox live account and don't intend on playing online at any point.
So now I want to upgrade to LT+9.1 and the new dashboard .
If I understand right the new dashboard will flash my xbox 360 back to stock,
I will of course have to use the USB update of the dashboard as I have no Internet connected to my xbox.
Because I personally have not flashed the xbox I have no backup firmware dump or firmware key.
I have 12v power supply with sata connection called flypower which I've Been given as a friend used to boot up an old internal mac drive.
So now the questions
1. Will I be alright using the flypower says power cable instead of a molex cable?or should I stay with the xbox's own power supply.
2. Can I dump my current firmware and key details with jungleflasher?
3. Should I do this before the update of the dashboard?
3. I understand if I flash back to stock I need a firmware from the "pre" folder in the "stock" folder, but which one?
4. I've yet to go through mire closely how to dis-assemble my xbox, but when I have, can someone explain the method of leaving the tray half open and will I still need to do this if I use the flypower cable instead of the xbox's own power supply?
5. Is it true I have to have the scary lead attached if I'm using the xbox's own power while flashing?
I think that's everything, I know there's a lot of questions, but I've searching for days and I'm nervous about my first flashing experience.
Any help to the above will great.
