GENERAL FIRST TIME USER NEED HELP!

Hi everyone,

I made my first post yesterday...I have MS28 with VIA6421 and Windows 7

I am getting the portio64.sys error and I cannot get Windows to run in Test Mode using dseo13b!

I also have CK3pro. I have done all of the steps that are in the Jungleflasher documentation and still can't get the portio64.sys drivers installed.

I would REALLY appreciate the help.

On another note, dosflasher is recognizing my drive and I have saved the ixtreme firmware that is already installed on my dvd drive

did you try just reboot Windows 7 with F8 and disable driver signature enforcement?

put libusb0.dll in the main Jungle Flasher directory

its not in your bois mate, turn your pc on and and hit F8 a few times after the bois/ boot selection screen and before the windows logo pops up, then select disable driver signing.

wow...i'm a moron. And you are the man for getting that out of the way..jungle flasher loaded! Now i'm on to returning to stock, installing dash update then latest firmware...for the first time.

ive flashed tonnes of xboxes and sometimes i still forget about restarting and hitting F8 lol and scratch my head to wonder why its failing lol.

Im sure there was a patch out there somewhere so i dont have to hit that F8 button lol

Can I ask another question?? My drive is still not detected in jungleflasher do you have a tutorial or something to help me with that part of it? Do you have any recommendations for a first timer??

also make sure you via6421 drivers are not installed, if they are uninstall them and reboot.

Do I need to have the VIA 6421 drivers installed for JF to recognize the drive? All the tuts said to delete them and/or disable...I'm not really sure where to go from here...

are you making sure to use this port on your via card? many users have problems when using the other ports.

Yes I have it connected to that port. When I run DOSflash my drive is detected (i believe) I was able to get the current firmware on my dvd drive from that

do you have onboard sata? a via chipset is not needed for samsung drives so might be worth trying your onboard one.

OK I plugged it into the onboard SATA. My harddrives are showing up in jungleflasher so I'll try updating the ports i/o now to see if I can find it...
