[FIXED] Going insane trying to flash 1.6

Hi,

I am trying to flash my 1.6 XB, and am not having much luck. I have tried with switches 1-2 on and all off - the protect bios switch is off on chip and front panel switch - I press eject and on together and choose network flash - I connect to the XB using IE (192.168.0.99), I select the correct 1.6 1957 (repack) bios - the green and amber bars come up on TV, everything looks fine and the XB switches off - I switch on (quick press) and I just keep getting the same dashboard, nothing different at all.

Please save me from leaping off the nearest bridge and tell me what I am doing wrong.

It looks like quite a few peeps are having this issue in one way or another? Maybe there is a recent batch of duffers (X3) doing the rounds?

I've flashed PC bios many times in the past, and never had problems like this. If it says it was sucsessful (both coloured bars go to end), and the XB switches off... you've flashed right? Apparently not...

Right on!

I feel a right pillock saying this, but in my defence it's not mentioned in any of the guides I have checked out.

I didn't know you were supposed to keep the white button on the pad pressed while booting, in order to access X3 bios features! Come on, I'm the n00biest of n00bs!

So, I WAS flashing successfully,just didn't know it!

DVD drive white screen HELP!!!!

My 360 will not read any games. I get a white screen with the xbox 360 logo and that is it. It will read a DVD with no problem. I thought that maybe the Benq drive was going bad so I replaced it with a ms28 that I had laying around with the same results. I used Jungleflasher to spoof the samsung. Any suggestions would be appreciated because I am stuck. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I don't think it is the laser the samsung drive was working fine in another 360. I find it unlikely that the laser is bad in both drives. Could it be anything else? Thanks.

yea if it is wave 4 it will do tht unless you have updated or you have been a dumbass and lot your key
