I repaired the solder bridge on the back of the power/eject board, and checked the remaining traces and connectors with a multi-meter. The Xbox(v1.6) still powers up when plugged in, and cannot be powered down with reset button (the eject button works fine). REMOVE the power/eject board and NO change in power problem. I removed the mod to original configuration, and you guessed it, NO change. (Please note I had to replace the transistor collector on the MB to fix the automatic, cycling power up, power down problem.)
On a side note. When I was loading my new bios, after chip install (power problem was present) midway through the flash, the xbox shut down. The result being a bad flash. Also, is it possible to flash an X3 on a 2.3b Xbox?
Team Xecuter, have you researched into any possible problems resulting from that shorted power/eject board? Without a schematic of the MB, I can trace the wiring only so far.
Thanks in advance for any help!
