Fixing error 7 new HDD, slayer 2.6 and Xecuter 2.6/Xapter

Greetings all, This is my first ever post here and I'm looking for some advice from people who know what they're doing, cause I havnt got a clue lol!

Right, my xbox is giving error 7 and I've tryed everything and come to the decision that its completely bust.

Now then, I have slayers 2.6 auto install disk and my question is this.

I've decided that my [FONT=Verdana,Geneva,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif][FONT=Verdana,Geneva,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]hard [/FONT][/FONT][FONT=Verdana,Geneva,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif][FONT=Verdana,Geneva,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]drive[/FONT][/FONT] is gone and a new one is needed, so this is what I plan to do.

1. Buy Xecuter 2.6 CE Mod Chip & Xapter from http://www.kanection.co.uk/product.php/456/0/

2. Buy a standard PC hard drive (20gig or so, nothing too fancy)

3. Load with slayer 2.6

Now then, I want to know that if I put the new hard drive in and install the chip, will I be able to load Slayer 2.6 using the blank hard drive and will slayer 2.6 set everything up for me allowing me to play backups.

Also, if anyone has any guides that show all aspects of installing the xapter/xecuter including the switch, could they please post as the only guides I have seen dont really show how to fit the switch.

Also, obviously my hard drive will be blank, does this matter?

Any advice would be hugely appreciated from anyone.

slayer is old but works well but i would use AID3(Auto installer deluxe 3) it has all the upto date dash and apps as well as emu
AID3 well setup a new hard drive so your covered there (slayer to)
you will have to flash the x2 with a bios before it will boot AID3 / SLAYER
x2 5035 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x2 5035 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs

Cheers mate, I've tried downloading AID 3.0 from xbins but after going through IRC/FlashFXP all I can find are the torrent files, which wont download on my pc due to my ISP putting a block on p2p.

Also, I don't know if this is permitted, and I'm sorry if its not but are you allowed to tell me where to find the bios files I'll need to flash to the chip?

Finally, is there an idiots guide on how to put the bios file onto a disk and flash the chip with it?
