Flash Bios 3.0.3 Only 1 Bank Works

Hi all, I have a XBOX 1,6b with a X3 chip pinheader installation, I just installed my cip and started the box up and got blank screen on every bank but off, off, off, on, off. That seem to be the only bank setting where I can access my FlashBIOS 3.0.3. Is this normal? I am ready to install EVOX, I have it on disk ready to go but I read that you should boot from banks 5678 and then set switches to 1234 and flash that bank, but I cant get the bios screen in banks 5678, not sure what to do. Now do I flash the bank with evox or my Bios 3.0.3? Maybe dumb question, sorry. I think it will be my evox cd. Help

G'day mate, you can boot up using any bank you like, as long as you get Flashbios on your screen. Then change to a 1Mb bank namely 1234 or 5678.

Your "off off off on off" is bank 78, so once it's loaded change it to 1234, that way if something goes wrong 78 will still be accessible.

Oh, and you flash the chip with an X3 bios not flashbios. (you can use an evox bios if you really want to, but it's so old and outdated you'd be silly)

I got mirc and Flash FXP to get the X3 but I don't know what one to get, can you suggest something. I know that I have to flash with a X3 bios and then load on a dashboard but this is my first time doing all this. I tried following some tutorials on how to copy a bios to a dvd but I keep getting file not found. Don't know what i am doing wrong. Then I try to connect by x over cable from my computer but it says file not found. I need just a little guidance and some patience on your part.

The latest X3 bios is 3294.

You need to unrar the file then rename it to bios.bin and include a dummy file of 100mb or more, if you burn to dvd.

If you flash via http (x-over cable) do you get the screen where you get to choose the bios? if you select X3_3294.bin it should work. (use X3_3294_v16plus.bin if you have a v1.6 or v1.6b)

I don't get that far, all I do is select Load bios from HDD (C;\Bios and I get bios not found. I will try to load the bios with a DVD.

In Nero it names the bios and dummy file with two bins. eg bios.bin.bin and dummy.bin.bin what do I do from here, do I delete one of the bin.bin of leave it and burn it.
