Flash Bios default bank?

I've got a 1.6b and can't get to the flash bios screen.

What is the default bank for the Flash Bios on the X3 chip?

Also, if I can get someone to flash my chip with the X3 3294 v16 plus bios, can I then update/install the back-up Flash Bios v 3.0.3 from the main bios?

Or does the Flash Bios have to be installed some other way?

1.6b only works with FlashBIOS 3.0.3...
Only two switch settings to try:
Bank 1-4: ON ON OFF OFF
Bank 5-8: OFF ON OFF OFF

If you read one of the stickys... FlashBIOS versions are shown there...

U will notice that 3.0.3 is on bank 5-8, which is switch setting (OFF ON OFF OFF)
You should also note that your backup bios is not that.. and when you are flashing
remember to change your switches to (ON ON OFF OFF). Important!
Just in case something goes wrong...

And yes, once X3 3294 is in, you can reflash your backup bios with FlashBIOS 3.0.3.



You know what, they should release the chips with alternately 256K flashes of FlashBIOS 3.0.1 and FlashBIOS 3.0.3. 4 different copies of each so its harder for people to screw up flashing one of the 1MB banks unless they flash both with the same bios for some reason. The only thing is that the switch settings will be a bit more complicated....
