Ok time for more information

1. Have this ever worked in the past
2. What Version Of XBox do you have
3. What Mod Chip did you install
4. What Flash Bios did you upgrade to

Just to make sure
You can see the bios screen ok correct?
Just no controller action

If you just received a pre-moded box today
Check the USB port cable (The ports the controllers plug into) make sure they are seated into the motherboard connectors

i dont mean to steal anyones ideas, but i dont know how to quote from another thread... but Rookio said:

- A different controller (yes even some models of original controllers just wont work in flashbios)
- A DVD Remote 'nearly' always works, and they are handy to have for XBMC use etc.
- A USB keyboard was the last resort i heard a guy go to. He couldn't get a new controller or dvd remote so plugged in his keyboard and voila!

dude...chill. he thought it was a good place to put the post. its about flashing the bios. if its bugging you that much, get an admin to move it (or stop reading the post). this isnt a question about soldering the chip.

Thanks guys,

I took it over to a buddies and tried one of his controllers and his worked... it was wierd cause he had the same model controller I did but his worked for what ever reason. I was kinda pissed cause I worked on it for 3 days tearing it apart and putting it back together for no reason. oh well thanks again.

glad you got it. this is a weird subject from what ive been reading though. ive never had any problems with it, but it just seems to be pretty random.
