flash bios screen keeps coming up

everything works great in the process... no errors.... shuts off...then i power up and still the bios screen comes up.... do i leave the settings to on on off off?

What bios are you flashing to the chip? Sounds like you're just reflashing it with Cromwell (flashbios), or you're booting to the backup.

on,on,off,off should boot to the first 1024k bank.

how do i know its the cromwell?... i am using via http to flash it...i put in the address.... the flash bios screen comes up.... i load the 3.03 file and then hit the "flash bios"...it does its job ,,,, shuts off..;.then power up
everything is ok.... but i get the flash bios screes. "FLASH BIOS 3.03"

I get the 3.03 showing on the off on off off
i get the 3.01 showing on the on on off off

dude, you keep flashing the bios with the cromwell flash bios. go get the x3_1959 bios and flash it.

oh, and btw... make sure that you use the correct x3 bios for the version of mobo that you have.

x3_1959.bin is for versions 1.0-1.5
x3_1959_plus16.bin is for the 1.6 and 1.6b

I was just about to say, if the filename isn't what Hoboz just listed, then you're flashing the wrong bios.

new pc has pci e not pci how to conect via6421

hi all
im new to this site
my problem is ive just got my self a new pc and now it doesnt have a pcie x16 port so i cant plug in my via6421 card it only has a x1 port

heres a pic of the motherboard


so would i be able to use this to connect my via6421 ?

Isn't your via6421 card a PCI card? So you would need something that converts PCIe x1 to PCI (it should work if you find an adapter like that). You could also try something like this.

You might not need the VIA card in the first place did you check if you could see the xbox drive without the card?
