Flash Freezing Up

We got the X3 installed in my 1.6. When flashing, it locked up and now we can't get back to the part to flash the chip. When the chip is in, FRAG. When the chip is out the xbox boots up like nothing ever happened to it.

Any suggestions?

If this is a 1.6 and not 1.6b, you probably would be able to get to the backup bios by pressing power+eject. The X logo should light up to purple and boot to FlashBIOS 3.0.1
