Flash problem

Ok I installed an x3 in my 1.0. Then i set the switches to on on off off. I then turned it on and flash bios 3.0.1 loaded. I flashed via dvd with X3 3108. It seemed to flash fine but then when i turned it on with the chip enabled, it just shut off on me. When i boot with switches set to off on off off, flash bios loads. what is wrong???

Ok, I reflashed with flashbios3.0.3 and everything works like normal. When i flash it with the x3 3108 bios, still same problem. maybe its the bios. I got it off of xbins. Anyone know where I can get another good copy of it? I can't understand why it doesn't work

I just want to confirm your not using the v16 plus bios?

no, I'm using the regular bios off of Xbins. Not the 1.6 version

What files from the bios did you include in the disc you made. You should only have the 1024 kb Bin file and a 100 mb dummy file. If you include the other files, it will not work. Off, on, off,off is your second 1mb bios bank.

I reflashed it through network and the flash goes fine and then I turn it on and same prob. I spoke with the person i bought the chip from and they told me to find the right bios for my version xbox.

I want to try another bios, which one should I use? x3 3029?

I tried it an same problem. I'm thinking about using another chip. I can't understand this problem. should I try the wire install? If so how do I do that. there is no guide.
