Has anyone seen this before. I am trying to flash the X3 and I keep getting this message "Unkown flash! Halting". I have dip switches 1,2 (on) 3,4,5 (off) I am using the latest 1959 X3 Bios. I have tried using CD-RW, and HTTP. I keep getting the same message. I have also tried removing the dip switch all together and still no luck. I have checked the Switch on the chip itself and it is in the off position. Any help would be great.

BTW it does see the bios file... it just stops and say "Unkown flash! Halting"

TIA
Cru

Re: Flash Problems "Unkown flash! Halting" PLEASE

I have checked them both and both switches are off... Could it be anything else? And just so you know I have tried the switch both ways (a few times) and it does the same for both. Could the chip always think it is in protection mode?

Benq unreadable AONE Plus DVD...

So here is my problem, i have spent the day trying to get my DL dvd's to work as I used to do before when i had my old xbox with a liteon drive with firmware LT but I can't seem to get them to work on my new xbox with Benq drive firmware LT. I flashed the drive and everything went fine but i get the unreadable disk error on all the ones I burn. I have tested legit games and they run fine and install to the HD fine. The "backups" are recognized by the drive and launch fine but ingame at some point i'll get the unreadable disk error or even when i'm just installing to the HD i get the same error around 8-11%. I use aone plus dvd's is that the problem, even though they all worked with the lite on drive. I use clone cd 2,4x, and i also tried img burn with manual layerbreak and also automatic. The strange thing is that after burning the games i run them through abgx again and everything checks out green. Thanks for any response! :D

Re: Benq unreadable AONE Plus DVD...

good. :) use verbatims, imgburn and if the disc supports it; burn at 2.4x speed if not then burn at 4x speed MAX! no more. also i wouldn't advise ever doing the pot tweak cos i messed up 2 drives doing that !
