first, i want to really thank all the moderators/admins on this site...not two days ago i was a blank slate with modding and ive learned alot through the tutorials.
however, i am still unclear on one issue. it looks as though, on the pcb itself, that the regular x3 has a large flash protection switch, where moving it to the left or right determines whether or not flash protection is on. this is in addition to the external switch that also shows the bank select.
when looking at the x3ce, however, it appears to just have a red/green LED that determines whether the flash memory is protected. is the led green based solely on the external switch, or is there something on the pcb as well? i.e. is there a similiar switch on the x3ce internally? i guess another question is: if the x3ce does not have the big switch on the board like the x3, is there a similiarly functioned part on the x3ce? does this mean that there is only 1 "safety" for the flash on the x3ce (that is, on the external bank select switch?)
thanks for any help you guys can give!
