Hey guys.

I had my old 360 flashed a long time ago (last year lol) and currently it is not playing any new games. I've been told I need to update the dashboard. Seems like no problem.

HOWEVER, the process of flashing the firmware back to stock is what I am unsure of...well actually, the whole process itself.

I know I have the samsung drive based on the color or the wires (I remember some tutorial about this somewhere). So what do I need to do now?

I have a USB to SATA cable (somehow and for some reason had it laying around the house) and I just downloaded jungle flasher. I hate to sound like such a noob regarding this, but what the hell do I do.

Are there any tutorials out that are step by step? The guy that originally flashed my xbox is quite a bit away so driving to him would be a last resort. Anything you guys can offer would be amazing. Thank you!

There is a tutorial on flashing all drives inside the jungleflasher folder under documents. The latest firmware for Samsung drives is LT v2.01. Did the guy who flashed your xbox give you your dvd keys?

Also, where can I download the old firmware?

just so you know, you will not be able to use a generic USB->SATA converter for flashing xbox drives

however, many onboard SATA chipsets are compatible (as are VIA PCI cards)

but the gold standard is the x360usb pro!
