Hello,

I have successfully updated to the LTPlus-0251-v3.0 FW but I have some concerns.

First. This drive had been previously flashed (a couple years ago before xbox started banning systems - this was done by a friend of a friend of a friend...so I did not have the KEY or the original FW file.). This xbox has not been connected to live since banning began years ago. It is a

Lite-on - 74850C (DG-16D2S) drive

I hadn't played a burned game in years as I have been busy but a month ago I found some time and got some burned games and was ready to play...but...since the Dashboard was so old the new games would not play...required the updated dashboard or so it said.

I read online somewhere that I should update by USB. So I did...then I read that this show NEVER be done on cracked FW and should have been reverted to stock first...then updated...then reflashed.

Well. Luckily it updated the Dashboard fine. But obviously the FW was updated on the drive since this update included a FW update.

So down to my questions.

1) Since this dashboard updated the FW on the drive is the dummy.bin that I extracted contain the original FW?

Just for precaution I flashed first from the dummy.bin to a stock FW that I download from one of these better known sites (probably this one).

Then I re erased the drive using the dummy.bin in the input field again (since the Stock FW file did not include a Key and would not let me insert the key) and then to the cracked FW.

Did I do this right?

It works...

2) Is my console now flagged because of the USB update I did?

Thanks,

This is taken from the JF tutorial: "Please Note: Dummy.bin is not Original firmware, it is [FAKE] firmware based on the structure of an Original firmware file, and this makes everything easier to work with.

USB updates don't get your console flagged.

Dummy does not have the full original FW

T-X website does not have any FW files

Then I re erased the drive using the dummy.bin in the input field again (since the Stock FW file did not include a Key and would not let me insert the key) and then to the cracked FW.

Hooray!

I have not seen or heard of anyone being banned due to this...
