Hi. I got a DG-16D2S to flash. I use x360usb,ck3i and ck probe 3. I have flashed another dg16d2s drive before and that went out good. Working and no errors. Now i was going to flash a new drive that also was a dg16d2s drive. But after I flashed it with lt 2.0 it gave me the open tray error. I did exactly as i did before with the other drive i flashed succesfully. I did not remove any ribbon before flashing. I have the correct key and flashed back to original but it didnt read any original games either. What are the solutions?

Well as they recommend and how i do it you should always remove the ribbon cable.
All i can say is a pot tweak or new laser.

Ok. I will try the pot tweak. But the tutorial did not say anything about removing the ribbon.

if its not even reading your originals mate id say its a new laser:frown:

i have only needed to pot tweak before to play backups as its more strain on the laser than an original.

it does not mention removing ribbon in jf tutoriol, but some users advise to remove on liteons and hitachis, but also alot have never removed the ribbon and never had any problems,

you can try and pot tweak it but sounds like new laser

I had one last week that after the flash it wouldn't read almost anything. I just tweaked the pot and it started working fine. TBH I never unhook the laser on liteons and that was the first time I ever had a problem.
