Ok, I kinda screwed myself here with the bios upgrade. This is where I am stuck now. I have mistakenly flashed the non 1.6 version to my 1.6 box (1-4 and 5-8 are hosed). I have evox bios on backup bios and can boot to that one only.

How can I flash 1-4 or 5-8 using a boot disk and evox? I can boot slayers under evox but not sure what I need now to update the bios back to 1959 or FlashBios so I can reflash the main chip (and get FlashBios back on the backup).

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there any way to 'reflash' the x3 banks using RainCoat or another utility if you do not have Cromwell installed?

Why are both messed up? Is it that you flashed both banks with the same bios? why would you do that? if you haven't then just switch to the 2nd bank and reflash the other.

No, I have the bad version in both banks (1-4) and (5-8). I am only able to boot to the 'backup' bank which has evox M8 right now. I am looking for a way to 'reflash' the banks to either 1956 or cromwell.

I guess my real question is: Is there any way to flash X3 on a 1.6 using something other then a cromwell bios? I would think there was a utility similar to 'raincoat' that would work, but perhaps not.
