Is it possible to flash my x3 that has flashbios3.0.0 on a v1.6 xbox with the 1959 bios and then put the chip in a 1.6b xbox? or should I try to get the newest flashbios3.0.3 on the chip? I have already successfully flashed 1959 on the x3 currently in the v1.6 xbox using flashbios3.0.0, but I wasn't sure if I could transfer the chip from xbox to xbox accross versions. Any input would be appreciated.
this is exactly what I've had to do with the last two boxes ive done. do the install in the V1.6b and power up, you should get no Fragg just a green LED around the eject button and a blank sreen, this is OK. Now remove the chip and put it in your V1.6 and ftp the 1959 bios to it. Then replace in the V1.6b and away you should go. Then ftp the flashbios V3.0.3 to the C drive on the Xbox and use X3 config live to update the back up bios with the file you have just ftp'd.
