I read a post on the 1st may which a guy had my exact problem with a V1.6. I flashed X3 3294 and now the xbox powers up then off again. unfortunately his chip had the Xapter which was the cause of his problem...I do not have this. I have network flashed on both on on off off off and off on off off off. My only way of getting back to the flash screen is by pressing both eject and power buttons. Can someone please help me. I am very very sure my soldering is OK and have checked it 3 times. Should I try another bios???

ok if you are 100% that your install ok try this
try cd flash use cd-rw or dvd-r or try
flash x2 5035 v16 plus too banks 78 512k off off on off off
download Auto installer deluxe 3
place AID3 into xbox bootup xbox with it allready in
you will be able to ftp to your xbox use ip that is given and use "xbox" as password and user name
make a folder on your pc call it "bios" put x3 3294 v16 plus into it
ftp the "bios" folder to your xbox place it in C:/ folder
remove AID3 dvd reboot xbox into backup bank (power eject at same time)
in flashbios do flashs from hard drive
see if that works

where did you get the bios from if not xbins get it from there before you try these options

I've always got my bios from different torrent sites. I don't understand how xbins works. It just looks like another way of hooking up to the xbox like network flashing. I can't find where to actually download different bios from.

My box is definately a V1.6 NOT a V1.6b. Nevertheless I still flashed on on off off off. I did NOT rename X3 3294v16plus.bin. Still powers up then off again.

No it is not solderless. I have installed the LPC rebuild and all soldering is OK. Is there anything else at all I can try or is my only other option to check for a stuffed board or track???

Yes. Everything I have done has had the same effect. The flash on screen works perfectly in every respect. The yellow bar moves across the screen and then changes to green. It moves again across the screen as per normal and then system shuts down automatically. Everything looks like it is perfect until you power on. To make matters worse...I have just experimented on another v1.6. This time, rather than the little LPC board, I tried soldering wires onto the correct points. I get the exact same problem. It's like I've flashed the wrong bios and yet I have done exactly what you have told me. I have done 6 xboxs before these. All v1.4 or v1.5. All OK. This is the first time I have tried V1.6 and have stuffed both. I don't get it.:(:(:(
