Hey cebby, sorry I do not have a fix for you because I am in the same boat. Actually I have the same problem but am using a Xapter. Would you be able to point me to the site where the fella you mentioned had his problem or perhaps tell me how it was solved? I have been looking for it but cannot find it. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to double post but I got home from work and it won't let me edit now. Anyway I solved my own problem. I completely uninstalled the xapter and put it back on as securely as I could figure out how. This didn't solve the problem immediately though. I varied the tightness of the screw and wiggled the xapter a bit and one time it magically came up to the rox my box screen. Aparently I had flashed successfully as it seemed but the connections were not good (and they probably still suck I'm thinking of soldering the thing anyway) but the wiggle is what got it working for me. Not sure how this might help you cebby but you may want to go over the soldering again even though I'm sure you have a million times. If we have the same problem then it is a connection issue.

Hey browe07. To tell you the truth...Since my last post...I've been so agravated that I've just left it for a while. I still haven't checked the 'wiggle' trick but will definately give it a go. My next step is to desolder and start again which is why I have had a cooling down period. I'll keep you up to date when I can gather the courage to go again...Cheers...Cebby:):):)

Hey Cebby. I gave up on the Xapt3r. Its just too touchy and dainty. I went ahead with the solder method. Well, guess what, it didn't work again. I can't really tell visually what a good solder looks like so I went out and bought a Multimeter. I tested all of the solder points for voltage and found the culprit. I resoldered that point and everything is working now. If you don't have one I'd suggest getting a multimeter (mine was about 15 bucks) It makes it so simple to find your error that even a noob like me can get it working.

Finally got my first chip working. Now what was that about dashboards...
