flashbios? 2914 bios?

New guy here whats the diff between a flashbios 3.0.3 and [font=verdana, arial, helvetica] 2914 bios?
And i have a 1.6 xbox,when the x3ce ships they say it comes preflashed with flashbios 3.0.3 but on the site they say that 3.0.3 workes better for the 1.6b can i flash it back to 3.0.1

Here we go ...

The FLASH bios is a LEGAL type of BIOS that ships on the X3 chips - it is this that then enables you to put the 2914 or whatever latest version of the illegal (techincally!) BIOS onto the chip to enable you to have fun with it.

The FLASH bios is very basic and just enables things like network flashing and hdd lock and unlock.

As for the version question, I think they still put an earlier version on bank 1 and the 3.0.3 on bank 2 - or visa versa. Either way, you should be OK. It will either work or it wont on the 1.6 so no grey area !
