Flashed Xbox v1.6 Xecuter3 with FlashBios 3.0.1, but the blue screen tells it has FlashBios 3.0.0 on board.
There are only the 3.0.1 and 3.0.3 versions available here in the download section..
Or this is correct or 3.0.0 is actually into the downloadsection iso 3.0.1?

Anybody having a clue...?

Thanks in advance

To have no misunderstandings... I had 3.0.3. but want 3.0.1 'cause my v1.6 doesn't like 3.0.3.. After I flashed it with 3.0.1 the blue screen says "FlashBIOS 3.0.0".. Doesn't make sense. does it?

I am experiencing the same issue. I fear that it is a problem with my lack of knowledge of the system but the guides lead me back to the same result. It would be nice to know that I am running through this process correctly. Let me list my steps here:

X3, XBOX v1.6
Switches on the front: ON ON OFF OFF OFF

1. download flashbios_v301.rar
2. extract flashbios_v301.rar to flashbios_v301.bin
3. Boot the Box
4. Reads FlashBIOS 3.0.0
5. Enable Network Flashing
6. Connect
7. Browse: flashbios_v301.bin
8. Flash the Bios
9. Bar goes across and Box shuts off
10. Boot the Box
11. Reads FlashBIOS 3.0.0

If this is not the correct method please let me know. Thank You.

o yea it happend to me 2 (V1.0, X3, Flash Bios 3.0.3,) and i switched all the switches on the external switchboard to ON except for the last one ( the fifth) and it then said 3.0.3 on the blue screen so give it a try.

...or you could just flash X3 1959 and not worry about messing around with the flashbios at all.

Same here (v1.6, X3 1959, FlashBios 3.0.1)
But to tell you the truth, it seems like a bug that really has nothing to do with nothing. Just a typo...

I was still able to flash my chip using the http upload method, with no hiccups. And everything runs as should even thought it says 3.0.0.

Replacing my Hitachi drive. Need help/advice

Since support for Hitachi drives is practically dead in the water (with no chance of iXtreme LT in the future), I've decided to replace the DVD-Rom drive in my 360.
I have the keys for my drive safely tucked away in a key.bin file on my PC, which I made back in 2007.
I'm assuming I can just buy any other Xbox 360 DVD-Rom drive, put it in my 360, and spoof the Hitachi keys onto it and it will work, am I correct? Can I do this with JungleFlasher, or would I need another piece of software?

Secondly, what brand of drive should I order? I've decided to just buy one off eBay. All 4 brands are available, but I want to avoid both Hitachi and Samsung since support for them is pretty much dead.

Should I get a Benq or a LiteOn? What are the advantages/disadvantages of both?

Waiting for your replies, thanks.

Re: Replacing my Hitachi drive. Need help/advice

you will need to buy a benq, as lite on LT does not support spoofing drives, benq LT does

jungleflasher will suffice for all your needs
