Flashbios 3.0.1

HELP!!
Been reading that I need flashbios 3.0.1, but can't find it. Have a friends Xbox (v1.6) and when I flash it with x2 5035 16plus, just goes to black screen. Tries finding bios on mirc, but only see like v227 or 228.

If you are already able to access a utility to flash the chip you shouldn't need FlashBIOS... all that this does is provide the ability to flash the chip. (Ok, it does HDD lock/unlock too.) You say only a black screen after flashing, is there any sound? If so this is often the sign that the wrong BIOS version was flashed for the mobo. (1.6 mobo with vOld BIOS, 1.0 to 1.5 mobo with 16plus BIOS) Are you sure that this is a 1.6 Xbox, or that you have the 1.6 BIOS file? I wouldn't trust a download from IRC, torrent, unknown FTP site or web page. Use xbins, it should be the only download site you'll need.

BTW, FlashBIOS is downloadable right from the Team Xecuter site. Go to the front page and look at the downloads section. There are two current versions (read the download pages to see why) v3.0.1 and v3.0.3. You may need to right click and "save as" to get the actual BIOS files downloaded.

flashbios3.0.1 works with v1.0 to v1.6 xboxs but not v1.6b xbox
flashbios3.0.3 works with [/font][font=verdana, arial, helvetica]v1.0 to v1.6b xboxs but not v1.6 xbox[/font]

Was explaining the wrong BIOS for the mobo if that wasn't clear... Example, if you put vOld on a 1.6 box you are likely to get a black screen but still have sound on boot.

I would hope by now that the "don't use 16plus on anything but a 1.6!" warnings and vice versa are spread far enough... but you know they aren't, or at least they aren't paid attention to.

Ok now how can i get that damn FlashBios, i can't access the download section. All i see is some news about the 360.

but how are you going to flash flashbios to the chip if your going to use a programer just flash it with x2 5035 bios or if hotswap do the same

Thanks i got it finally.. now another question, one that might not belong here but .. i installed evolution x, ripped a game and placed the ISO in the E folder. how can i launch and play the game ??

use dvd2xbox to place on hard drive
and as stated in other post if its a downloaded game you get no help here
